The short version
CYANO does not collect anything about you, and it has no way to. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server. The app contains no networking code of its own.
What the app stores, and where
Everything stays on your iPhone.
Photographs. You choose a photograph from your library and the app turns it into a cyanotype. That happens entirely on the device, using its graphics hardware. The picture you chose is read, not copied: nothing is uploaded, and nothing is kept after you close the app. When you save or share a finished print, it goes to your photo library or to whichever app you picked in the share sheet, and that is the only copy that persists.
Settings. Whether you have seen the introduction, how many prints you have saved, which version last asked you for a rating, and whether the in-app purchase has been unlocked. These live in the app's own preferences and are read by nothing else.
Permissions the app asks for
Photo library, to add. So a finished print can be saved. The app asks only for permission to add, not to read your whole library.
Choosing a photograph does not need a permission at all. The picker is run by iOS, and the app receives only the single picture you select. It never sees the rest of your library.
The in-app purchase
CYANO is free, and one optional purchase unlocks the toning baths, the remaining papers and the second sensitiser formula. That purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app asks the system whether the purchase has been made and receives yes or no. It never sees your Apple Account, your name or any payment detail, and no payment information is stored in the app or sent anywhere by it.
Apple's own handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.
What is not here
No analytics. No crash reporting. No advertising identifier. No third-party SDKs of any kind. No tracking across apps or websites. No mailing list. No cookies, because there is no website inside the app.
Because none of this exists, there is also nothing to opt out of and no data to request or delete. Deleting the app removes its preferences with it.
Children
CYANO is rated 4+ and is safe for any age. It collects nothing from anybody, children included.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be a matter of wording rather than of practice.
